WELCOME

Hello! I'm Mrs. Wolfe, the Title I reading specialist working with grades 3-6 here at Shannock Valley Elementary. I have been working at SVE since 2015, and I can't think of any other place I would rather be! I love working with the students and being a part of the SVE community. I think I have the best job in the entire school, working with children to become better readers! It doesn't get any better than that!

Check out the links below for some great sites that can make reading more fun!

Every week in Title I, students read a set of articles that go along with the material they are learning in science or social studies. These articles give interesting facts and build your child's background knowledge and vocabulary.
Your child receives a paper copy every week at school but they can also access them online via this site. (Instructions for logging into the site are in your child's Title I folder). See the class code below for your child's grade level. Happy Reading!

Lexia is a computer-based program that targets the five core areas of reading instruction: phonics, phonemic awareness, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. My favorite thing about this program is that it is individualized for your child, so you child will be working of the skills that they need additional practice in.
