Remember to help protect the earth and its natural resources.  You can do this in many different ways.  Try at least one of these suggestions.

1.  Turn off the water while you brush your teeth.  (Reduce)

2.  Don't litter.  Keep your yard or play area clean.

3.  Make an item into something new.  (Reuse)  

4.  Sort papers and plastics that are to be thrown out.  (Recycle)

5.  Plant flowers or a tree.  (Helping the environment)

6.  Drink from a cup instead of plastic bottles.  (Reduce)

7.  Use a paper straw instead of a plastic straw.  

8.  Recycle plastic bags.  Keep them from getting into our rivers where fish and ducks can get hurt on them.

9.  Turn off the lights when you leave the room.  (Reduce)

10.  Count how many plastic bottles are used in a day.

 

You can either send me a picture or send me an email of what you might have done to help protect the earth.  This assignment will be counted as a participation grade in science.  Have fun with this.  Discuss it with your family or friends.

The assignment isn't due until April 30.
